Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) Saturday announced that parts of Balochistan would experience a six-hour gas load-shedding on Sunday due to repair work on a pipeline.
In a statement, the SSGCL said that gas supply to Quetta, Mastung, Kalat, Kuchlak, Ziarat, Sariab, Hazarganji, Nawa Kili, Mari Abad and other areas would remain suspended from 10am to 4pm on March 10.
The gas supply company apologised for the inconvenience caused by the temporary gas closure and urged the customers of the areas to arrange alternative means during this period.
On March 7, the SSGC announced a “load-shedding marred” gas supply for the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement, the SSGC said that it would only be able to provide gas between 3:00am to 9:00am (Sahar) and 3:00pm to 10:00pm (Iftaar) in Ramadan.
Also, consumers in Sindh and Balochistan will only have access to the commodity for 13 hours.
Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah directed the electricity distribution companies to not carry out load-shedding during Sahar and Iftar timings.
The development came during a meeting held under the chief minister’s chair on price control in Ramadan.
