Usman Tariq, the spinner for Quetta Gladiators, has been cleared to resume bowling during the current Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine.
Usman will now be eligible for selection in the team’s last league match against Multan Sultans on Tuesday at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.
Following a review of his bowling action at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore, Usman received clearance to continue bowling.
However, he must remain vigilant, as any subsequent report on his action by the umpires will result in his suspension from bowling until he successfully undergoes testing to rectify the issue.
Usman’s action was initially flagged during a match against Karachi Kings on March 6, with on-field umpires Richard Illingworth and Asif Yaqoob officiating.
It is worth noting that despite the setback, Tariq has managed to secure two wickets in three matches during the ongoing PSL 9.
