Hearts brim with anticipation as Muslims worldwide gear up for the imminent arrival of Ramadan, just days away.

In Saudi Arabia, astronomy calculations predict that Ramadan 2024 will begin on March 11, reported Morocco World News.

According to Moroccan astronomer Hicham El Aissaoui, his projections suggest that Muslims in Saudi Arabia are expected to observe a 30-day fasting period this year.

Muslims throughout Pakistan and the rest of the world observe the month of Ramadan annually. It is the holiest month in the Islamic calendar during which Muslims abstain from food and drink from dawn until dusk.

Gulf News reported earlier this week that the International Astronomical Center notes that the central conjunction is scheduled for 9am GMT on that day, with the crescent moon expected to set after sunset across most Islamic regions.

As a result, it is anticipated that many countries will mark the beginning of Ramadan on March 11.
