Jennifer Garner shared a heartfelt poem following her father, William John Garner at the age of 85.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday, the Ghosts of Girlfriends Past actress posted a video of herself navigating through a labyrinth of stones surrounding a tree.

The heartfelt post was accompanied by a recording of actress Helena Bonham Carter reciting Emily Dickinson’s renowned poem Hope Is the Thing with Feathers.

The video symbolized her journey through grief while highlighting the enduring strength found in hope.

In the caption, she included Dickinson’s words: “Hope is the thing with feathers / That perches in the soul / And sings the tune/ without the words / And never stops at all.”

Garner had announced her father’s passing om April 1, expressing gratitude for his peaceful departure and reminiscing about singing Amazing Grace as he left.

Describing her father as a man of gentle demeanor and quiet strength, the 13 Going on 30 actress shared heartfelt memories of his work ethic, leadership, and faith.
