Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson’s closeness during the One Direction era was so much so that some believed they were romantically linked. But, the latter strongly called out these theories as “unfair.”
Coming down hard on these bizzare rumours, the British singer told the G1 magazine, “There are times when it gets very personal. I have my son, Freddie.”
He continued, “He is the most important person in my life. And occasionally, [these theories] end up addressing things that are a little unfair.”
Louis admitted fact-checking these theories is almost impossible, “I realized this so many years ago, there’s nothing I can say or do to dispel the believers of that conspiracy,”
Noting, “They are so intertwined with what they believe to be the truth now that they won’t actually see the truth for what it is.”
“It does irritate me a little bit but it’s just kind of nature of the job I suppose,” the 32-year-old concluded.
On the internet, meanwhile, fans shared their take on the comments of Louis.
“It’s insane how he has denied it every single year yet these people continue to say horrible things about his son and call him a liar, just like they’ve been doing after this one interview. MOVE ON!!!”
Another added, “I’m crying he’s still being asked about this?? are people still trying to prove this theory?”
A third commented: “Louis talking abt larry stylinson was not on my 2024 bingo card i have to say.”
