United States Vice President Kamala Harris recently visited Puerto Rico’s capital, San Juan, where she ended up embarassing herself in front of a group of protestors.
Harris’ motorcade was greeted by a mix of several dozen, loud demonstrators and onlookers on the sidewalk holding signs that said “Kamala Harris war criminal.”
A video Harris’ visit to the Goyoco community center in the Santurce neighborhood of San Juan has been circulating on social media where the 59-year-old democrat is seen clapping and dancing to protestors singing a song.
According to Republican National Committee (RNC) Research, Harris stopped clapping one her aide Mariana Reyes, who was standing next to her, translated what the band was saying.
Reyes is the executive director at La Goyco and the man standing on the other side of Harris is Frankie Miranda, Hispanic Federation president.
According to the account managed by the RNC, the band was singing: “We want to know, Kamala, what did you come here for?… Long live Free Palestine and Haiti too!”
Once Reyes translated the lyrics to Harris, she stopped clapping and folded her hands and slightly nodded as the song continued.
