Fresh addresses, familiar comfort, where good food and great conversations find a new home.
A new wave of dining spaces is reshaping how we eat, drink, and spend time in our cities. Across Mumbai and Bengaluru, recent openings reflect a shift away from loud, high-energy venues toward places designed for intention, comfort, and connection. These are spaces where cocktails are crafted as experiences, wine is poured slowly over conversation, coffee anchors everyday rituals, and food is made to be shared without fuss. The focus is no longer on spectacle, but on thoughtful design, honest flavours, and atmospheres that encourage guests to linger.
From intimate wine-led bars and neighbourhood cafés to evolving Italian kitchens and experimental cocktail programmes, these launches signal a more mindful approach to hospitality. If you’re looking to discover what’s new on the dining map, these fresh addresses capture the mood of how India wants to eat and gather right now.
Raasta, Khar (Mumbai)
At Raasta, the bar is an extension of culture, not an afterthought. Rooted in Afro-Caribbean influences, the cocktail programme centres around rum, spice, citrus, and warmth mirroring the flavours coming out of the kitchen. Each drink is designed to be savoured slowly, over long conversations and relaxed weekends.
A new wave of cocktails now takes centre stage, exploring smoother profiles, dessert-leaning notes, and subtle spice-led heat. These additions bring depth and playfulness while staying true to Raasta’s flavour identity. Paired with smoky, spice-forward dishes and a music-driven atmosphere, Raasta continues to be a go-to weekend destination where bold food, evolving drinks, and rhythm come together seamlessly.

403 Forbidden, Bengaluru
403 Forbidden presents a quieter, more intentional approach to nightlife—a theatre of cocktails where attention is treated as luxury. Inspired by the HTTP error code 403: Access Denied, the name becomes an invitation to disconnect from distractions.
A standout feature is the by-request-only personalised cocktail ritual, where guests become the muse. Guided by intuitive technology and Aman Dua’s expertise, each drink is crafted as a bespoke liquid portrait, translating memory, identity, and emotion into flavour.
Designed as a cocktail laboratory rather than a conventional bar, the space blends science, sustainability, and sensory storytelling. The minimal kitchen offers 20 small plates that complement the bar’s rhythm, from garlic salt nuts and avocado-coconut ceviche to Nikkei lamb chops, Forbidden Chicken, Nihari Noir, and a Miso Basque Cheesecake to finish.
La Macario Café
La Macario Café, a quaint and artistically inclined haven in the heart of the city, is delighted to introduce its Winter Menu, a seasonal celebration of indulgent flavours, comforting classics, and imaginative creations crafted to embrace the cosy charm of winter.
On the menu: The food menu opens with the Corn Chowder Soup, a creamy, comforting bowl elevated with a drizzle of chilli oil for a subtle kick of warmth. Fresh, vibrant notes shine in the Wine-Soaked Strawberry & Burrata Salad, while heartier cravings find their match in the Bhutanese Ema Datshi served with soft steamed buns, a true Himalayan comfort classic. The indulgence continues with the Broccoli Gnocchi in Arrabiata Sauce, featuring soft, pillowy gnocchi tossed with broccoli in a spicy arrabiata sauce. For a festive twist on pizza, the Festive Christmas Pesto Pizza delights with vibrant pesto and seasonal toppings.
The beverage lineup brings soul-soothing sips to the season, including the Matcha Caramel Latte, where earthy matcha meets sweet, buttery caramel. Chocolate lovers can revel in the Hazelnut Praline Hot Chocolate, a rich, velvety drink infused with luscious hazelnut praline, or the Tiramisu Hot Chocolate, a luxurious treat with hints of cocoa, coffee, and cream.
Festive desserts round out the experience with the nostalgic Belgium Strawberry Chocolate Cake adds another layer of decadence, with rich Belgian chocolate paired with fresh, juicy strawberries. Adding a playful, hands-on element, the DIY Christmas Cookie Tree invites guests of all ages to create their own festive cookie trees, complete with icing and sprinkles.
Thoughtfully curated to bring comfort, flavor, and festive cheer. La Macario Café’s Winter Menu is the perfect way to savour the season, ideal for cosy outings, gifting moments, or treating yourself to wintertime indulgence.

Novotel Kolkata Hotel & Residences
Novotel Kolkata Hotel & Residences invites food lovers to experience a bold new chapter at The Ministry of Kebabs (MOK), which is all set to unveil its newly reimagined menu this January, 2026, a curated showcase of fire-led flavours, regional kebab artistry, and immersive tableside indulgence.
Long admired for its unmistakable identity and richly layered flavours, MOK has always stood for one defining ethos: turning craftsmanship into art, a tribute to India’s fire-kissed culinary traditions where smoke, spice, and patience come together in perfect harmony. With this new menu, MOK returns with more than just fresh additions; it returns with a renewed dining experience designed to engage the senses from the very first moment.
Every Flame is a Story at MOK, where each dish showcases the mastery of kebab-making, bold marinades, time-honoured techniques, and the drama of live fire that brings depth and character to every bite. A tribute to India’s diverse culinary traditions, brought together through the artistry of fire and flavour, the refreshed menu is rooted in heritage yet elevated with modern finesse pairing thoughtfully curated chutneys, local marinades, and contemporary presentations. As tawa, tandoor, and sigree take centre stage, the experience unfolds as an immersive, tableside journey brought alive through MOK’s signature kebab trolley, creating a sensory celebration where every bite speaks of culture, connection, and craftsmanship.
The menu begins with an indulgent vegetarian selection that celebrates India’s grill heritage through layered marinades and fire-led technique. Highlights include Shahi Palak Chilgoza Tikki, a royal Awadhi spinach and pine nut patty pan fried to perfection, the fiery Guntur Mirchi Tandoori Paneer marinated in yoghurt and Guntur red chilli paste and grilled in the tandoor, and Bharwan Dhingri, whole mushrooms stuffed with spiced paneer, khoya, and nuts. The spread then moves into robust non-vegetarian favourites such as Dhaniya aur Pudina ke Seekh, juicy minced mutton infused with fresh coriander and mint, echoing flavours once foraged in royal hunting camps, alongside the regal Rajwada Kalmi Tandoor, spice-marinated chicken drumsticks inspired by the kitchens of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, and Kundapuri Byadgi Prawns, roasted Byadgi chilli masala prawns finished with curry leaves for a bold Mangalorean punch.
The mains carry forward this heritage-led journey with slow-cooked signatures like Subah-e-Awadh Nihari, a marrow-rich mutton stew rooted in Awadhi tradition, paired with the regal Subz Korma Awadhi, mixed vegetables simmered in a luxurious onion-yoghurt gravy with poppy seeds and aromatic spices. Comfort takes centre stage with Dal MOK, black lentils slow-cooked overnight with butter, cream, and roasted spices, MOK’s tribute to the classic Punjabi Dal Makhni, while fragrant rice offerings include Kolkata Style Chicken Biryani, drawing from the city’s Awadhi influence, and Subz Dum Biryani, a nawabi-inspired vegetarian celebration finished on dum with saffron, vetiver, and royal basmati. Served alongside Mixed Vegetable Raita and breads like Ulta Tawa Paratha and Khameri Roti, the experience ends on a sweet note with Phirni in Mitti Kulhar and a timeless Kulfi, delivering a nostalgic finish that lingers long after the last bite.
With its New Menu, The Ministry of Kebabs (MOK) reaffirms its place as one of Kolkata’s most distinctive destinations for Indian fire-led dining- where every skewer, spice, and slow-cooked signature tells a story of craft, culture, and culinary theatre. Guests are invited to gather and indulge in an experience that is as immersive as it is indulgent.

Lygon St., Mumbai
Inspired by Melbourne’s Italian street culture, Lygon St. is a 38-seater, wine-led Italian food bar by chef-founder Sneha Upadhya. Built around ease rather than ceremony, the space encourages slow dining and unhurried conversations.
With no traditional bar counter, wine is guided table-side by an on-floor sommelier. The menu features fresh pasta made daily, comforting pizzas, and shareable plates designed to be revisited at your own pace.
Calm and understated, Lygon St. offers a thoughtful counterpoint to the city’s louder dining spaces, ideal for midweek dinners, sunset pours, and evenings that stretch longer than planned.
Pomodoro, Mumbai
What began as a small pasta and coffee bar in Bandra has, in just a year, grown into one of the neighbourhood’s most loved Italian tables. Now, Pomodoro expands from a 28-seater to a 60+ seat space, less about scale and more about making room for its loyal community.
The expanded space retains Pomodoro’s warmth while introducing a dedicated barista counter, allowing its coffee programme to shine alongside its handcrafted pastas. The philosophy remains unchanged: quality ingredients, handmade food, and hospitality that feels natural and familiar.
Pomodoro’s evolution is guided by consistency, care, and the neighbourhood that embraced it from the start.
August Cafe, Andheri
Helmed by siblings Ruhi and Daksh Gupta, August returns as a reimagined 60-seater that celebrates everyday rituals. Familiar, inviting, and effortlessly warm, the renewed space balances comfort with quiet confidence.
Designed by Studio 6158, August offers a calm escape from the city’s pace. Soft curves, sunlit corners, and an open barista station integrated into the seating area create an atmosphere of ease and conversation, where coffee becomes a shared experience.
Rooted in balance and comfort, August is designed for moments before work, between meetings, after a jog, or on the walk home.
