In a heartwarming turn of events, the parents of renowned Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala celebrated the arrival of a baby boy on Sunday, nearly two years after the Punjabi rapper’s tragic demise in Punjab. Sidhu’s father took to his IG account to share the joyous news, announcing the birth of his younger son.

Alongside the announcement, Singh posted a touching picture of the newborn baby, accompanied by a celebratory cake adorned with Sidhu’s photograph in the background. The news holds special significance as the singer was the only child of his parents, Charan Kaur, 58, and Balkaur Singh, 60, making the arrival of his younger sibling a momentous occasion for the family.

Sources revealed that Sidhu’s parents had opted for in vitro fertilization last year, undergoing the procedure abroad. However, they had chosen to keep the news private until the procedure yielded successful results, underscoring the significance of the moment for the family.

Earlier, Singh rubbished rumours of the couple’s pregnancy, as reported by Pinkvilla last week. He posted in Punjabi on his IG account, “We are grateful to Sidhu’s well-wishers who are concerned about our family. But we request you not to believe the many rumours being circulated about the family.”

In February 2024, it had been reported that the couple had undergone IVF treatment to add to their family and were due to give birth in March, but Singh has now weighed in, and added in his Facebook post, “Any news will be shared by the family with all of you.”

In May 2022, Charan and Balkaur tragically lost their son, Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, better known around the world as the singer Sidhu Moose Wala, in a shooting. Four gunmen were identified. Despite being rushed to the hospital, the singer succumbed to his injuries before he could receive medical aid.

The only child to his parents, Sidhu, born in June 1993, was a trailblazer in the Punjabi music industry, shooting to fame in 2017. His songs, some of which were released posthumously, live on and continue to garner millions of views on YouTube. Following the devastating impact of his death, Sidhu’s parents have been at the forefront of advocating for justice for their son.
