Mukesh Ambani’s address to Reliance employees is a lesson in humility – Times of India

After the lavish three-day pre-wedding festivities for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Jamnagar, the Ambanis also hosted a grand celebration for the Reliance employees and their families. What touched our hearts was the richest person in India, Mukesh Ambani‘s humble speech to his employees which is a lesson in humility for all leaders.
Mukesh Ambani spoke in Gujarati, wherein he created his employees by saying that they are because of the employees.”I thank each and everyone from the bottom of my heart. It is because of you that we have Jamnagar today; you are Reliance’s pride and the next generation can take motivation from you,” Mukesh said in his heartfelt speech. This video has been doing the rounds on social media lately.
Nita Ambani, Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, also thanked her “extended Reliance family” for all their hardwork and support in organising the pre-wedding celebrations. Including them in welcoming their “Choti Bahu” Radhika in the Ambani family, Nita Ambani said in her speech, “Today is even more special as we have our entire extended Reliance family of Jamnagar here with us. Dhanyavad, thank you! Friends, aap ab ladke vale ho. Aap sabne ghar valo ki tarah iss shadi mein haath bataya aur apne ghar mein hi nahi, balke apne dilo mein bhi humein aur humare mehmano ko jagah di. (You all are from the groom’s side of the family. All of you welcomed us and our guests in your home and hearts and helped us in organising this pre-wedding). We welcome Radhika with open arms and hearts as an Ambani beti and also to our Reliance family. Dil se shukriya, thank you!”

Meanwhile, Mukesh and Nita’s youngest son Anant Ambani and his to-be bride too thanked the people of Jamnagar who work at Reliance. “This is my whole family. I have not seen heaven, and I guess nobody has seen it, but Jamnagar is heaven for me! You all have made Jamnagar a heaven for me and I want to thank all of you,” Anant said. While Radhika addressed the audience by saying, “Hello and thank you, to all of you! There is no place like Jamnagar for us. This is truly heaven for us.”
The function for Reliance employees and their families also included an exclusive dance performances by Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, and musical performance by Arijit Singh.
In a recent interview, Anant Ambani also spoke about the two work ethics he has learnt from his father Mukesh Ambani, the Chairperson and Managing Director of Reliance Industries. Anant told India Today, his father Mukesh Ambani has taught him that whatever one does it should be done with great enthusiasm and passion, and for the public.
