According to reports, Krishnan Mahadevan used to work as an investment banker for the international financial firm, Goldman Sachs. This young man left the job with a package of lakhs of rupees because he had to take care of his family’s business, Iyer Idly.

The restaurant venture was founded by his father in 2001 and is famous for its delicious hot idlis. In the last 20 years, the taste of Iyer Idly has been greatly appreciated, and people from all across Bangalore come to their shop. The shop is 20×10 square feet and is very famous in the entire city. A large number of people come here to eat Iyer Idly every day at affordable prices. Reportedly, more than 50,000 idlis are sold every month at this shop.

Currently, Krishnan and his mother, together, are running the legacy of Iyer Idly. Recently, they have launched Vada, Kesari Bhaat, and Khara Bhaat dishes on the menu. The special thing is that even before getting the job, Mahadevan Krishnan used to help his parents with his business. But after his father’s demise in 2009, the responsibility and pressure of their family business fell on him and his mother. As a result, he decided to leave his job and focus fully on his business.
