California residents puzzled by mysterious lights in night sky – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Skywatchers in California were amazed early Tuesday as they witnessed a series of bright fiery lights streaking across the night sky, reports The Fox News.
A video captured the golden objects moving in a straight line at about 1:30 am in Moreno Valley, located 70 miles east of Los Angeles.
Many on social media believed that the lights were debris from the recent SpaceX Falcon 9 launch carrying Starlink satellites.
Some believed it could be remnants of the Chinese Shenzhou 15 Orbital Module rocket. The fiery display seemed to fade away towards the end of the video.
The FAA reported no unusual aircraft activity in the area. Astrophysicist Jonathan McDowell suggested that the debris may be from the Chinese orbital module that launched astronauts to the Tiangong space station.
The space website dismissed the idea of the fireballs originating from the SpaceX Falcon 9 launch, highlighting the safe landing and reuse of its hardware.
