AI startup Daakia Private limited raises Rs 4 crore in seed funding for rural expansion – Times of India



NEW DELHI: Daakia Private Limited, an AI-powered deep tech startup operating in the Enterprise SaaS and Digital Communications sector has secured Rs 4 crore in seed funding from a group of strategic investors to enhance its operations in rural and inaccessible areas and expand its user base in metro and tier 1 cities.
The funding round was led by MD of Green Apple Enterprises, Sasi Kumar Marasu, with contributions from a few other angel investors.This investment will support Daakia’s goal to provide citizen-centric services to make collaborations easier, effective and thus, achieve digital sovereignty.
“We believe that Daakia Private Limited has the potential to revolutionize the way businesses operate and transform the user experience with its intuitive communication platform,” said Marasu.
“We are excited to partner with Daakia on their journey to digitally sovereign India and be a preferred platform of choice for Indians,” he added.
Founder & CEO (ex-EY & IIFT alum) of Daakia Private Limited, Animesh Kumar said, “We are incredibly excited to have the support of our investors as we embark on the next phase of our journey.”
“This funding will enable us to expand our team, enhance our technology, and reach more customers. While internet has brought people together, the world still struggles with linguistic boundaries. Through Daakia, one can have a meaningful conversation with anybody in the world in about 109 languages. We are committed to the exhortation of the honourable Prime Minister to “Code for Atmanirbhar Bharat”, and truly believe in Vocal for Local and Go Global,” Kumar added.
Daakia has been granted a patent for its platform, which bridges the language gap within India and globally. With this recent funding boost, the company plans to extend its platform to cater to businesses and individuals worldwide, offering an affordable Indian-made alternative to popular platforms like WhatsApp and Zoom.
With this fresh injection of capital, Daakia is poised to expand its operations and accelerate product development, solidifying its position as a preferred communication platform for Indians.
Daakia Private Limited was established in 2020 and it based in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
