Vice President Harris demanded that Hamas immediately agree to a six-week cease-fire deal and called on Israel to allow more aid into Gaza, “given the immense scale of suffering” in the besieged enclave. Her remarks Sunday were some of the strongest yet from the Biden administration and come as Harris is set to meet with Benny Gantz, a top Israeli cabinet official involved in war planning, in Washington on Monday.
